The Shakes Acting Company is an acting class and theater company, produced in partnership with the Lineage Performing Arts Center in Pasadena, CA.

 

Every human mind in every human body is an artist, and The Shakes makes theater with all bodies and all minds for all audiences. The classes are taught by Ensemble Artistic Director Brian Elerding, and have a special focus on theater creation for persons with neurological challenges like Parkinson's, MS, TBI and stroke.

The class and company are creating an original work to be presented in 2021, involving students from The Shakes Acting Class alongside professional actors from the Ensemble, focused on the true story of Michael Seidenberg's secret bookstore. More information will be posted here soon.
